There is no higher priority to our office than everyone’s safety. Be assured that we are monitoring the Madison County Health Department, Illinois Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to stay on top of this evolving situation. We are sending out this email to let you know what our office is doing in response to COVID-19.
WILL THE OFFICE CLOSE?
As of today, we have no plans to close and will resume normal business hours when Dr. Baird returns tomorrow on Wednesday, March 18th. We will only close if Dr. Baird or one of our staff members becomes exposed to COVID-19. For now we are taking every measure to keep our patients safe.
SHOULD I CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?
Right now the closing of schools, restaurants, bars and events can cause anxiety and make you wonder if you should keep all of your scheduled appointments. As of right now, if we haven’t contacted you to cancel your appointment, we recommend that you keep your appointment with us unless you are symptomatic. In that case, we ask you err on the side of caution and stay home. Regardless, our office policy is that we request the courtesy of a call if you need to reschedule due to illness.
Most importantly — if you do not have to cancel your appointment, we urge that you keep it! Please note that your adjustment will actually help your body prevent contracting the virus as well as help your body fight anything it comes into contact with.

We want you to feel confident that the risk of exposure to any illness is extremely low when coming to our office. Although we have always taken measures to ensure cleanliness and a sterile environment, we will be enhancing some of our cleaning procedures in the best interest of our patients’ and employees’ health.
MY CHILD’S SCHOOL IS CLOSED. I NEED TO STAY AT HOME WITH HIM/HER
If your children’s school is closed, feel free to bring them in. This could be a great time for them to get an immune system-boosting adjustment also!
IF I HAVE CONTRACTED COVID-19, WHEN CAN I COME BACK IN?
If you have contracted COVID-19, you are able to come back in when your primary care physician/facility has given you permission to return to work. If you are unsure, call our office for help!
We hope to see your faces in our office for your much needed adjustment soon! In lieu of hugs and handshakes, we will be giving out elbow bumps and air high-fives!
